Main Description
A problem is said to be resolved when an identified solution is applied to eradicate the root cause or a decision is taken
to implement a workaround instead of pursuing permanent resolution.
Sometimes to implement a permanent solution, the Change Management process may need to be triggered. A Request For Change
(RFC) must be raised for the same. The Problem Manager should validate the RFC details with the Business/Client to ensure
that the final solution will resolve the underlying problem and prevent the related incidents from recurring.
During the implementation period, Problem Manager must update all stakeholders and other interested parties on the progress
of the implementation. Once the implementation is complete, the resolution must be reviewed for its effectiveness.
Upon completion, the Problem Assignee must update resolution details in the Problem Record including reference to the
Change Record. The KEDB must also be updated.
